This summer Workshop in the Woods will offer a Artist in Training (AIT) Program, an internship program for 13-15 year olds who work directly with a Workshop Specialist.

AIT's rotate each day from one workshop to the next. They are instructed and guided by the Workshop Specialist assisting the Specialist in aspects of that day's lesson plan. This program will provide a base for intern and job training for the future.

The AIT program focuses on organizational skills, set-up, clean-up, age appropriate projects and behavior, giving directions, following directions, safety, and craftsmanship.

AIT's will aid others as they rotate through the day's routine. AIT's will also have an opportunity to work on individual projects and meet as a group.

A mandatory orientation will be held on Monday July 2nd from 8:30am-4:00pm at Camp Denison. Please bring a lunch, water bottle and dress to work.

The cost is $400.00 per session. AIT's have a separate application for registration and need a letter of recommendation. Each session will be limited to 14 AIT's.
